Tony Mitri,
Founder & Executive Producer,
Solfege Entertainment Group, Inc.
Tony Mitri is the mastermind
behind Solfege Entertainment Group, Inc. (SEG). Being a musician himself for
over 20 years, Tony's ear for music, as well as his classical training in theory
and technique, makes him an invaluable resource in the production and recording
that happens in the studio.
Tony is an accomplished musician,
playing piano, guitar, saxophone and conga drums. He was classically trained
for years in piano and voice. Having only brief lessons in guitar, sax and
conga drums, Tony is mostly self-taught in these areas.
Being a composer/songwriter
himself, he understands the blood, sweat and tears that go into one's music. He
understands that music creation is a very personal experience and should be
handled delicately, to protect and maintain the integrity of the music itself
and the thoughts, emotions and feelings that went into it's creation. Being a
perfectionist, he also feels that it is extremely important to obtain the
highest level of sound quality possible to effectively showcase an artist's
musical ability. To accomplish this, he utilizes only fully digitized music
input, mastering and recording (DDD), unlike many other studios today.
Anyone who knows or works with Tony understands that he always strives for
excellence and aspires to work with other professionals who are dedicated to the
same.
Tony has a vision for SEG and for himself - to raise the standard of excellence
in the global music community. He believes in helping people who have the
talent or potential to succeed and a desire to excel. On a personal level, he
also feels a responsibility to become a positive force in the music industry.
Because of that, he maintains a firm policy that prohibits offensive or violent
music to be produced or recorded at Solfege Studios. He believes that there is
already enough immorality and violence in the world and that music should never
be used as a tool for such destructive forces. He welcomes all musicians and
artists who share that belief to work with him to help set the example for
others to follow.
In addition to his role as
Executive Producer at SEG, Tony has been managing the careers of several up and
coming artists, assisting them in taking their careers to the next level. Now,
he has turned the focus to his latest project “Beyond The Stars”…a combination
of the best of his life works. This musical masterpiece showcases his talent as
a stellar composer with an ear for combining the best of a variety of genres
creating a unique sound for today’s diverse musical landscape. With emphasis on
jazz, contemporary classical, ballads with a bit of pop flavoring and musical
scores perfect for film and television, the “Beyond The Stars” project offers
something for everyone.
He has also just recently
completed a project in conjunction with the City of Orlando, WFTV-9, WRDQ-27 and
the Florida Citrus Bowl to be airing on New Years Day 2003 on ABC.
